CHAPTERS & mEETINGS

Southern California covers a lot of ground –we have three chapters to serve the area!

In the North is our San Gabriel Valley Chapter, otherwise, known as the “Mothership.” This is the first chapter that was founded in 1974. Our meetings are held in a church that sits just below the San Gabriel Mountains in the quaint town of Monrovia.

Our Southern Chapter is located in Orange County. Meetings are held on campus at Vanguard University in the city of Costa Mesa.

Out East is our Inland Empire Chapter located in the city of Riverside. Meetings are held on campus at California Baptist University.

Monthly meetings are held and each chapter has its own calendar as to what days and times. You’ll see that information below for each chapter.

Since the onset of COVID-19 in 2020, we’ve been holding our meetings virtually on the Zoom platform. While virtual meetings have provided both consistency and convenience we prefer to meet in-person. As the pandemic winds down our plan is to continue offering both options to our members.

We send an email invitation to our members each month before the meeting. That email includes the topic for discussion and the Zoom link.

Meeting content varies. Any and all things Lewis and the Inklings are up for discussion. We’ve had guest speakers that have included authors, professors, Lewis Scholars and members.

We highly encourage our members to suggest meeting topics.

“Who in his sense would not keep, if he could, that tireless curiosity, that intensity of imagination, that facility of suspending disbelief, that unspoiled appetite, that readiness to wonder, to pity, and to admire?”
